The Our Fathers Group seeks primarily to cultivate the crucially important bond between fathers and sons. The role of fatherhood is that of incredible importance, as young men seek to understand what it means to be men of God. Fathers are the primary means by which young men learn about the virtues of masculinity — such as valor, humility, chivalry, and gentleness. Of even greater importance, fatherhood is the sole means by which the love of God the Father is able to be comprehended in this life.
Thus, the Our Fathers Group exists to offer a space for the fathers and sons of our parish to build these virtues and relational bonds, both with each other and alongside other men of God. The group gatherings consist of activities and events including sports nights, fishing tournaments, and other fellowship opportunities. All fathers and sons are most welcome and encouraged to join!
